Haqua du Lot Herminium by Max Factory

Good Smile Company has just announced a new nendoroid figure of Haqua du Lot Herminium by Max Factory that will be released in January 2012.

Haqua is a pretty interesting character from The World God Only Knows. She shows a huge amount of arrogance on the outside and she always denies her failures, but deep down she is a good girl who wants everyone to be happy.

The figure looks okay, but I am afraid it's a bit too booring. The angry pose is great though.

Akemi Homura by Good Smille Company

The misunderstood soulmate of Kaname Madoka from Puella Magi Madoka Magica is out in February next year as a new scale figure from GSC.

The figure comes with a handgun and her time warp disc which she uses in her endless attempts of saving Madoka.

The figure is nice but I'm not to fond of the face expression. To be honest, in my eyes she looks sort of dumb. Exept that, the pose, clothes and hair looks very interesting and lively.

Upcomming anime: UN-GO

A couple of days earlier I heard about an upcomming anime series called UN-GO. It will be aired the 13th October according to plan.

"Un-Go is an original anime set in the near future, revolving around the detective named Yuki and a boy named Inga, who continually encounter mysterious cases. Based from Sakaguchi Ango’s novel Meiji Kaika Ango Torimonocho. Meiji-era story about a detective named Yuki Shinjuro, who solves various incidents that happen in his circle of friends. The adaptation will utilize an original story set in the near future, revolving around the detective and a boy named Inga, who continually encounter mysterious cases." - The Akiba

I didn't hear anything about UN-GO before I randomly came over an illustration for the anime which looked exiting. I therefore thought of giving the series a try as I am a childish boy who judges the book by it's cover. The plot and setting might be a bit equal Guilty Crown since they both seem to enter the genres of science fiction and action. I can not remember having watched a "proper" sci-fi anime in the past, so I am really looking forward to try something new.

Kurisu Makise by Good Smile Company

A new announcement from Good Smile Company tells about a new scale figure of "Christina", aka Kurisu Makise, from Steins;Gate that will be released in March next year.

Steins;Gate was a blast of an science-fiction/thriller anime that ended quite recently. I simply loved it and can't wait for the anime film to become available.

The bright, clever and sarcastically but kind and caring scientist, Kurisu, is absolutely my favourite character of the series. The chance of me buying this figure is therefore big. The details of the hair and clothing are amazing and the pose is also very lively and interesting.

Recommended anime: Blood-C

Blood-C is an ongoing vampire-action series directed by Tsutomu Mizushima. It started 8th July this summer and is related to Blood+ and Blood: The Last Vampire.

The story centers around Saya Kisaragi who is an overly clumsy but kind girl. She lives with her father who is the head of a shrine where she learns to master the art of the sword. When she is faced with various forms of trials that test her kindness, it brings misfortune for being "overly-kind". Against misfortune and for the sake of her friends, she maintains her kind heart and becomes stronger.

I began to follow this anime quite recently and I thought is seemed interesting after watching the first episode. After just one episode, I don't really know the plot. The scene where Saya fights a demon-like statue in the pond next to the shrine is very catching and tells me that there is something really interesting that will bloom later in the story. The landscapes of the art in the anime is very detailed and impressive and the style of the characters is also more than satisfying. The series is therefore highly recommendable and is one of my favourites of this period.

Saber Lily by Good Smile Company

Good Smile Company has just announced a new scale figure of Saber Lily from the TV-game, Fate/Unlimited Codes, which will be released in January next year. I have only heard about this concept before and I have no information about any manga or anime connected to it. Still, the character looks quite interesting and the dress is just gorgeous.

Recommended anime: Dantalian no Shoka

Dantalian no Shoka is an ongoing anime which started 16th. july. The animation is directed by Yutaka Uemura and music by Yo Tsuji. The genre is fantasy.

"After the death of his grandfather, Hugh Anthony Disward, also known as Huey, receives a mysterious key and according to his will, must take custody of the Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian in order to inherit his estate and all his possessions. Upon meeting Dalian, a child living at the estate, he learns that she is the guardian of the Archives which contain forbidden knowledge stored in thousands of magic books called "Phantom Books". Upon agreeing to become Dalian's new Keykeeper, Huey joins her into investigating incidents regarding people misusing the power of the Phantom Books, most of them with tragic consequences, and using his power as Keykeeper to seal the power of the Phantom Books and restore order to the area."

Dantalian no Shoka was on my top list of the summer releases. The art is good, but I am no to fond of the characters. Still, I fell in love with the second main character, Dalian. She is a really cute and clever girl though she is extremely arrogant. The plot in the series is okay, but the time period really makes me think about Gosick and does no quite fit my taste since I rather prefer the more modern surface. The flow of the story is great so it doesn't really matter in the end.
